I enjoyed peaceful rest during my stay. I appreciated the cozy area on the second floor where I could unwind and take in the sunset view. The breakfast options were satisfactory, and I liked the friendly staff who made my stay enjoyable. Being on the road, it was nice to have a calm place to relax before continuing my journey across the country.
The room had a persistent odd smell. The air conditioning was overly cold and hard to control.

I really enjoyed the stunning view of Pikes Peak from the second-floor deck at sunset and the well-designed room with great lighting—such a comfy spot! However, parking was a nightmare.

Super clean and comfy stay!
The room was super modern and spotless when we walked in. I loved the comfy queen bed and the fridge was a bonus for keeping drinks cold! The shampoo station in the shower was a nice eco-friendly touch. Only thing was the pool area felt a bit limited with the 45-min time slots for guests.

The breakfast spread impressed my teens with its delightful variety, especially the cinnamon rolls that keep them coming back for more. Rooms sport modern furnishings, complete with convenient amenities like a fridge and microwave, which made downtime way easier.
Parking left much to be desired. spots are incredibly tight, creating a chaotic scramble for a space. A few issues plagued the hot tub with kids constantly hitting the emergency shut-off, and the ice machine situation was a pain since several were out of order, forcing us to trek to another floor. The room, while clean on the surface, had quirky spots like used items left in the nightstand and dusty ledges that hinted at needing a deeper clean.

The second-floor deck provided stunning views of the mountains, perfect for evening relaxation while watching the sunset. The breakfast spread included delightful hot menu items, ensuring a satisfying start to the day. However, construction noise during the day was disruptive, and the area had limited dining options nearby, which felt disproportionate to the room cost on weekends. Additionally, the bathroom was quite small, which was a drawback for family use.

great location but needs better pool maintenance
I loved the mountain views, which were breathtaking each morning. The bed in our room was very comfortable, making it easy to get a good night's sleep. The breakfast offered a nice variety, and the options were fresh and tasty. We also appreciated the nice hot tub, perfect for relaxing after a long day exploring.
The pool could have been cleaner.

Our family had a great time at the Holiday Inn Express. The second-floor deck offered stunning views of Pikes Peak, perfect for evening relaxation. Breakfast impressed my teens with its delightful selection, especially the warm cinnamon rolls and pancakes. The room felt modern and spotless upon entering, with a comfortable queen bed. The fridge kept our drinks cold, a definite bonus! On the downside, our room had a persistent odd smell that hit us as we walked in, which was off-putting. The air conditioning was tricky. it blew cold even when turned off. Parking was chaotic—tight spots made it difficult, especially during busy hours. Still, we appreciated the attentive breakfast staff who kept the area clean and well-stocked. All in all, the positives outweighed the negatives, and I would happily return to enjoy the views and the delicious breakfast.
